Objectives of this course are to enable experienced users of Microsoft Excel to develop high-level macros using Excel’s Visual Basic programming language.

VBA Language Structure

  • Defining Sub Procedures

VBA Testing

  • Debugging Visual Basic Code
  • Using the step tool
  • Adding watches to variables
  • Handling errors and error values

Create Dialog Boxes

  • Dialog Box design tools
  • Dialog Box objects
  • Using Dialog controls

Advanced VBA Tools

  • Accessing and communicating with other applications
  • Create automatic procedures

Course Outcomes

On completion of this course, participants will be able to use the Visual Basic programming language to develop high-level macros.

Prior Knowledge

Completion (or equivalent knowledge) of Excel Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced courses is required. Exposure to computer programming is desirable.
