Overview

Objectives of this course are to provide experienced users of Microsoft Word with the opportunity to experience the full features of this application and develop skills in using it for Desktop Publishing and Electronic forms.  

This is best for

Individuals who wish to use Word’s powerful fields to enter information automatically and display variable results.  Designers who wish to create and edit electronic forms using form controls and automated fields.  Develop templates with Ask and Fill-in fields, which will prompt users to enter information. Use a range of SmartArt and graphics to help you create professional-visual documents to help improve communication to the audience.

Working with Graphics

  • Inserting graphic objects
  • Charts in a word document
  • Adding a screenshot to a document
  • Inserting objects from other applications
  • Inserting SmartArt objects
  • Formatting/editing SmartArt objects
  • Enhancing graphics using the picture ribbon
  • Working with drawing tools, text boxes and AutoShapes
  • Using WordArt and 3D and Shadow text effects

Text Manipulation

  • Working with textboxes

Automating Documents

  • Designing. creating and editing electronic forms using controls and automated fields

Learning outcomes

On completion of this course, participants will be able to create dynamic documents which include graphic objects. The end product will be a professional looking document that will dazzle its readers.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
