At ATI-Mirage, we recognise emotional intelligence as a necessity. We are dedicated to equipping participants with the right skills in our emotional intelligence training course.

Introduction

• The context of the program
• Learning outcomes and objectives

What is emotional intelligence?

• Define emotional intelligence
• Recognise behaviours associated with high and low emotional intelligence
• The biological basis for emotional intelligence
• How emotions drive conscious and unconscious behaviour
• Understand needs and fears
• The four competencies of emotional intelligence

Building emotional intelligence skills (the “how to”)

• Identify and name emotions, identities and the role they play
• Build empathy
• Reduce reactive responses
• Move ‘below the line’ behaviours to ‘above the line’ behaviours

Stop the drama, do the work

• The danger of a drama triangle
• Step out of a drama triangle
• Create a buffer when it gets personal

Putting it into practice

• Action planning

• Define emotional intelligence
• Understand emotional Intelligence competencies and how they enhance workplace and personal relationships
• Have an increased understanding of self and others
• Use techniques to build emotional intelligence competencies.

This course requires no previous experience.
