In this online management course, participants will learn the strategies to manage employee performance effectively and better understand the principles surrounding people management.

• Formal versus informal reviews/appraisals
• Motivating teams to achieve more
• Recognising and rewarding performance excellence

Communication for effective management

• Identifying different behaviour styles (DISC)
• Building interpersonal skills
• Using assertive communication for clear conversations
• Delegation and negotiation methods
• Improve workplace communication

Dealing with performance issues

• Understand your legal obligations
• Factors that may inhibit performance
• Managing substandard performance and differences in teams
• Create a safe and positive work environment, free from high-risk behaviours
