• Overview of topics covered during Intermediate Excel course

Working with Multiple Sheets & Workbooks

• Add, remove and copy sheets
• Grouping sheets for editing & linking data from multiple sheets
• Create 3-dimensional formulae

Advanced Data Tools

• Consolidating data with identical and different layouts
• Filter data – auto & advanced filter
• Data validation & conditional formatting
• Sensitivity analysis with goal seek, scenarios & data tables
• Using outlines

Excel Functions

• Working with specific function groups
• Nesting & combining functions
• Using named ranges

Charts & Pivot Tables

• Apply advanced concepts to Excel charts
• Create pivot tables & charts
• Using calculated fields and other pivot table techniques

Excel Automation

• Working with templates & styles
• Creating and editing simple Excel macros
• Assigning macros to buttons, toolbars and other objects
• Customising toolbars & ribbons
• Applying protection to worksheets & workbooks

On completion of this course, participants will be able to use multiple files, link these with formulas, and work with three-dimensional ranges; as well as perform Data distribution analysis, attach passwords and have a fuller understanding of the features of Excel.

Completion of Microsoft Excel Introduction and Intermediate course or equivalent knowledge is required.
